Two French pastry tools looking in opposite directions: Otami towards your suppliers and margins, Patissio towards your customers and sales.
Otami is a purchasing and production tool founded in Pau in 2021: you upload supplier invoices, it extracts prices, recalculates each recipe’s margin whenever flour or butter goes up, and keeps stock, inventories and supplier orders. For a bakery with a lab, several suppliers and sometimes several shops, it is a serious back office, used by more than 4,000 professionals according to the publisher.
Patissio starts from the other end: the customer. A website under your name where people order, request a custom quote and pay a deposit, then management follows: production planning, recipes and costing, workshops, directory with verified reviews. The two tools only overlap on recipe sheets and costing. So the right question is not “which is best” but “where is my lost revenue: in purchasing or in sales?”.
