Patissio was born
in a notebook

The notebook of a pastry chef who jotted her orders down by hand, priced her cakes from memory, and lost her quotes somewhere in her Instagram DMs.

Why this bakery software exists

The problem was never technical

It all started with watching a self-employed pastry chef at work. Her problem wasn't finding customers — her Instagram brought in more than she could ever bake. Her problem was everything that sat between the request and the cake.

Fifteen-message conversations just to pin down a date, a serving count and a budget. Quotes written by hand, never twice the same. Deposits asked for by bank transfer, sometimes forgotten, sometimes never paid — and a wedding date held for nothing. And above all: prices set on gut feeling, lined up with what the competition charged, without ever working out what a fifteen-hour tiered cake actually cost to make.

She wasn't short of customers. She was short of margin and sleep. The software on the market missed the point: either industrial-lab ERPs, too heavy and too expensive for one person; or pretty website builders, unable to price a cost of goods or collect a deposit.

Patissio was built for that missing link: the storefront that captures demand, the quote form that makes it usable on the first try, the deposit collected to lock in the date, and the cost-of-goods calculation that finally says what price to charge.

What we see go through

We write from real bakery orders

When we publish a price range or a costing method, it comes from what actually flows through the tool — not from an article copied off somewhere else.

Where we stand

What we will
never do

Zero commission on your sales

You pay a subscription, not a percentage. A €900 wedding cake earns you €900 minus Stripe's card fees — we take nothing on the way through. It's the opposite of the marketplace model, and it's deliberate: your margin is thin enough already.

Your storefront is yours

Your domain name, your photos, your customer list. If you leave, you export and you go: we don't hold your catalogue hostage and we never resell any data.

The right price is calculated, not guessed

The heart of the product isn't the pretty storefront, it's the cost of goods. Until an artisan knows what a tiered cake truly costs them — ingredients, hours, waste, overheads — they price against the shop next door, and the shop next door sells at a loss.

Software, not an agency

No setup fees, no forced annual contract, no salesperson. You build your site for free, you judge it on the results, and you pay the day you need the orders and the quotes.

The maker

A developer, not an investment fund

Patissio is built in France by an independent developer. No fundraising, no sales team, no growth targets dictated by investors. The product lives off its subscriptions — which means it has only one way to survive: being useful to you long enough that you stay.

That's also why our comparisons say when a competitor does something better than we do. An artisan who subscribes to the wrong tool cancels within two months; we gain nothing from that.

A question, a bug you spotted, a feature you're missing — contact@patissio.com. It's read and answered by the person who writes the code.

See for yourself

Your storefront is free, no credit card and no time limit. The rest, you'll add if and when you need it.
